Natural Selection 2

Natural Selection 2 is a sequel of a highly successful original game of the same title developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. Just like its predecessor, this game combines the first-person shooter with the real-time strategy and blends it in an action-packed and fast-paced manner. You're able to choose the side: furious alien creatures (Kharaa) or armed to the teeth human soldiers (Frontiersman marines). These sides have different objectives. Aliens must spread across the whole map and kill everyone who tries to stop them while the marines need to discontinue the infestation and wipe out the opposing force. Each team has Commanders. This class oversees the progression of the battle, issue orders, place new structures (sentry turrets for marines and new hive for aliens) and send reinforcement (health pack drops and ammo for marines). Marines are carrying all imaginable firearm gear and monsters are using their natural resources: teeth, claws, stealth technique. The game has tons of DLCs and free mods made by the talented community. Critics called NS2 a unique balance between Counter-Strike and StarCraft. That's well said and depicts the gameplay in the best way possible.
