Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches

Rhiannon: Curse of the four branches is a point-and-click game developed by Albert Studios, a small independent development team which consists of 3 persons.

The action takes place in rural Wales, in an old farmhouse names Ty Pryderi. Rhiannon, a 15-year-old girl, moves with her parents to Ty Pryderi. After several weeks she begins to hear strange noise, sinister voices, and she almost senses the presence of strange and supernatural powers in the house. When the issue assumed serious dimensions, her parents decide to drive her away from this mysterious house. So they ask Chris (that is you), a close friend of their family, to look after the house.

The storytelling of the game is great and very interesting: you immerse into the enigmatic atmosphere step by step, discovering the details of Welsh legends. Puzzles are tricky and fascinating, that always is very important in games of such genre. As for the game play in general it’s neither too difficult nor too easy: so-called the golden medium.

Noticeable disadvantages of Rhiannon: Curse of the four branches is poor graphics. It seems to be not up-to-date and essentially mars the whole good impression about the game. The music and sound effects are better. Sometimes they even can be surprising and scaring, when, for example, whispers of “Rhiannon, Rhiannon” are blended into the wind and make you feel thrilling. 

So, in spite of some disadvantages, Rhiannon: Curse of the four branches is a good point-and-click game, which is suitable even for young players. Play Rhiannon: Curse of the four branches on an October evening and let a fair get under your skin!
