THE PAC-MAN PIZZA PARLOR Review by DoubleGames
After so many unsuccessful games of hidden object genre we decided to give up the idea to find a good hidden object game. Today we focus on Pac-Man Pizza Parlor, a new time management title. Probably within this genre there are still few worthy premises that can comfort us.
Pac-Man Pizza Parlor is a fresh restaurant game from Namco Games that dwells upon Cathy, a young girl who has to run the local pizzeria of her father. At first sight this game seems especially common without any twists. Still there is one crucial twist, but we are afraid this is the last one. So, you can see there such arcade game atavism as Pac-Man. First of all this amusing option will be appreciated by the die-hard fans of time management games. Now they have an assistant, an extra pair of …Oops, this creature has only big mouth and no hands at all. Well, we do not care for what part of its body will help players; let’s just say it is a good helper. Once you chart Pac-Man’s path, it grabs all ingredients for you.
This typical time management title rather easy to complete that presents no serious difficulty even on the subsequent levels to the connoisseurs of this sort of games. The upgrades are various, though not very creative. Among the upgrades the most memorable are different costumes for Cathy and cute decorations for restaurant. In addition you will play some ordinary match-three mini-games in order to find some items.
All in all, Pac-Man Pizza Parlor tries to show off its so-called “fresh twist” – Pac-Man, but for today’s players it can hardly surprise. We are not naïve players anymore but in the know what’s what. We are not so green as it was several years ago.
