We are pleased to announce the availability of a new mystery game from Big Fish Games – The Return of Monte Cristo. As you probably guessed, this hidden object adventure game is based on Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel by the same name, with a similar plotline.
To start with, you are to help Edmond Dantes to discover the murder of his beloved and bring them to justice. On your path, you face with standard tasks for this genre such as searching different items and solving puzzles. There are lots of objects to find, which are blended into the backgrounds. Items are usually relevant to their locations, but keep in mind that they are resized, so things which are normally small may appear disproportionately large, or vice versa. The mini-games are common for the most part and offer a “skip” option in case you get stuck in them.
Unfortunately, dark colors of the game make difficult to spot some of the items. Thus renewing hints will be useful for finding some objects, as is the ability to see the outlines of items by clicking them on your list.
However, the lovers of creepy atmosphere would be glad to know that the bones and spiders are frequent in this game. Moreover, the background music is calm but spooky, with creaks, odd murmurs and other sound effects to intensify each scene. The players of all ages will appreciate its skill levels, beautiful graphics and interesting storyline. Have fun!
