Being the second edition of the series though, The Timebuilders: Caveman’s Prophecy by Big Fish Games is not a sequel and can be regarded as a stand-alone game. Playing it, you can learn how the cave people were leaving their primitive dwellings, and even participate in it.

The events take place in the prehistoric epoch of the Stone Age. The game challenges are pretty various, and this is a doubtless advantage. Now you have to build several fully equipped castles, then you drive away the angry wild cats. You either construct magnificent monuments or deliver resources and materials. Now you care about hatching eggs, then you earn steaks, which are the currency here, from the market. The gameplay is very funny and lively as contrasted with those cloying, monotonous gameplays of other Time Management games where the scenes of action are usually supermarket halls, restaurants or cafes. In fact, extrahistorical times with dinosaurs, grottoes, cave people and their unique way of life are a non-standard theme for a Time Management game indeed thus making it very attractive for players. Besides, leaving caves and transition to the stone construction is a proper subject for a Building game.

The graphics of The Timebuilders: Caveman’s Prophecy is quite pleasant, a bit cartoonish though. But still, the backgrounds are very eye-catching and well drawn. The only thing that hasn’t lived up to the gamers’ expectations is the sounding, voice acting namely. But there is nothing to keep you from playing with music-off, right?

All in all, The Timebuilders: Caveman’s Prophecy is definitely worth paying attention to. If you are a TM games fan, you’ll give a high estimation of its gameplay composition. But even if you’re just a trivial gamer and don’t actually care about the category enjoying a gaming process as such, you’ll get pleasure of a fresh non-typical Building game.
