Today it is rather hard to surprise demanding players with something new. Still the developers like PlayFirst don’t give up this idea and present us a new game Avenue Flo, an improved version of Diner and Wedding Dash games.
Avenue Flo is a point and click adventure game that has you saving the biggest wedding in DinnerTown. Due to a series of mystery events everything is upside down: the cake is green, the flowers are dead, the dress isn’t ready, and decorations are falling apart. You are to sweep up a mess and set things right again.
A large portion of the game focuses on exploring different locations and shops around the town, interacting with and helping local residents, and searching for items and puzzles to complete. Most tasks are intuitive, though, so you shouldn’t need much help. Everything is hand drawn in cartoon style, with great animations. The environments are interactive, so you can open drawers, talk to people, and pick up things in the usual adventure style. The voice acting is a lot of fun, and there’s even a country-style theme song.
Notwithstanding the improvements, you may be disappointed by the simplicity of most puzzles and the shortness of the Avenue Flo. But if you want just to relax and escape from daily routine enjoy this light-hearted game!
