SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE AWAKENED Review by DoubleGames

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened produced by Frogwares company is a mind-blowing seek-and-find game. You know him as well as his which never were boring. Now you task is to investigate one of Watson’s patients disappearance that will lead you to new deaths and the worshipers of the god Cthulhu engaged on a ritual.

The storyline is very captivating, and the events will hold tight to your curiosity from the first moment to the final scene. You have to face with 60 characters, reveal hundreds of clues, and don’t forget any item cause there is no useless things in the game full of logic deductions.

There are a lot of dark but well-designed locations, believable corpses and mysterious signs, 3D environment is good but we think it could be better. As well as the sound could be.

There are a lot of puzzles to solve including a simple combination of door locks and codes to open a safe, one challenge to draw the bloody pentagram that serves as the sign of Lovecraft’s Great Old Ones, and others. In whole the puzzles fit well into the plot, and have different difficulty level.

As for drawbacks, while playing we had a feeling that everything was fated: the gameplay doesn’t allow you the flexibility of doing things out of order. But honestly, The Awakened is a must-play game. Mystery lovers with a taste for the supernatural will be pleased! So, take your magnifying glass and prove Watson that is elementary!
