MAROONED 2 - SECRETS OF THE AKONI Review by DoubleGames
Marooned 2 - Secrets of the Akoni by GameHouse is the greatest disappointment of this week. It is based on the classical storyline: one girl suddenly finds herself on a strange island in the middle of nowhere. Usually traditional plot structure is something that is ultimately the most engaging and rare fall through. But the developer really made a pig’s ear of creating this hidden object game.
To start with, Marooned 2 - Secrets of the Akoni has nothing at all to draw your attention. It is as much as the game can do to hold players off. ‘I’d rather clean my room than play this trash’ are the words that can easily slipped out. Though the gameplay is quite standard but poor presented. Most hidden object scenes are difficult to find items with no purpose in finding of them. The hint systems is bulk of spears that you have to find in busy backgrounds. Well, every thing we would like to say you ‘Good luck finding at least one of those’. The game gives you no information about how many items or spears you are to find. If you can find more than 3 hidden objects by yourself without using a hint, good for you.
Graphics are surely far from being perfect but still they are seeable, sound effects and music are not bad, there is some voice acting but after several minutes they all make you tired. It is so strange to get such a bad game from the experienced game developer like GameHouse. Honestly, this developer didn’t delight us with its game long ago. Hard times? But why should they flog a dead horse and feed us with such an awful installments as Marooned 2 - Secrets of the Akoni? Tut-tut!
