Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand was developed and published by HER Interactive company. This is the sixth game of the famous point-and-click adventure series. Several precious artifacts have been stolen and Nancy, the main heroine of the game, starts her own investigation of this complicated case.

Most of the game you have to spend in a museum, exploring its rooms. It is vitally important that you are collecting or memorizing all the stuff you see on your way, cause you never know what is need to solve upcoming codes and puzzles. Of course if you miss something, you can always use a hint system, but we have found it rather uncomfortable. To get some help you should call your friend Bess and she’ll give you the clues. It is much easier to use a walk through if you get stuck.

The graphics and sounds in Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand are good enough. You can actually feel the tense atmosphere of the museum with all its skeletons and mummies. Though, there are some problems with navigation. Nancy doesn’t move diagonally which is kind of strange for modern games.

The game offers you a good number of puzzles and a challenging story. If you are not familiar with this series of games, Secret of the Scarlet Hand would be a good start. Nancy Drew already has a huge number of fans all over the world, so it’s up to you whether to join them or not!
