THE SECRET LEGACY: A KATE BROOKS ADVENTURE Review by DoubleGames
Today we deal with another adventure game product attempting to take away the crown from well-known Samantha Swift. Well, The Secret Legacy: A Kate Brooks Adventure by Meridian4 is a nice try but we could hardly believe that a certain Kate Brooks will steal the spotlight.
In fact, every modern hidden object game with adventure core has a treasure seeking hero hunting for the secret ancient artifact or something else. That is why the idea of this title looks pretty worn out and the games that have similar storyline become too predictable and it just becomes a matter of how smart its puzzles and mini-games instead of an intriguing plot. In this connection The Secret Legacy: A Kate Brooks Adventure isn’t the most interesting hidden object game ever.
There are some twists on hidden object scenes. The items are sometimes rather difficult to point out. However, the scenes are rich and vivid and scrollable. The navigation is easy saving you from frustrating backtracking. There is a click penalty and the hint button recharges in one minute. Although the story is cliched, the scenes in The Secret Legacy: A Kate Brooks Adventure game are supposed to be very accurate. Most of the items are relevant to the ancient Egyptian environment. The developers really took the time to use Egyptian hieroglyphs carefully.
You will find no special sound effects or pleasant music background. The game is pretty standard where you have a very long hidden object list, still it can give you several entertaining hours of play. Nothing bad… and good!
