Nancy Drew: Legend of the Crystal Skull

If you are looking for a good mystery game, try out the legendary game about Nancy Drew! The 17th series of Nancy Drew: Legend of the Crystal Skull is developed by Her Interactive company and holds on its popularity as never before!

To start with, Nancy,  the main hero of the game, and her boy-friend Bess arrive in New Orleans for a relaxing long weekend vacation of good music, food, and sight-seeing. But sudden death of a certain Bruno excites her curiosity and they decides investigate the cloudy circumstances of its vague accident. And true to herself Nancy carries the player to the amazing adventure!

This isn’t the first time Nancy has to investigate a mysterious old house, but this time the focus is on exploring not only the house, but the surrounding grounds with its lush gardens, imposing archways, and numerous family mausoleums.

The story and the well-integrated puzzles are the best part of this game, and the exploration is a lot of fun. Walking around the cemetery is especially captivating and thrilling. Most of the puzzles involve manipulating things in some sort of logical pattern. Some are pure logic puzzles that just require thinking, and some are ones that will require further clues in order to solve. The atmosphere is scary and intense, and is best played in the dark for the full effect.

However, it doesn’t look like a game of sensation. While this is a good adventure, it could have been even better if there had been more replayable mini-games and even a few chores included.  The music doesn’t really add much to the spooky effect. The jazzy sound suppresses mystique of the place, but the music would have been better with a more dramatic theme.

Still, after seventeen games in the series, Nancy Drew is still worth playing. It is a good chance to enjoy cool graphic and smart puzzles. Have fun!
