Shaolin Mystery: Tale of the Jade Dragon Staff

The storyline is very intriguing and believable. A young Yu has a difficult task: she should find the mysterious Jade Dragon Staff and save her best friend who was wrongly imprisoned. During her adventure she will explore the beautiful locations, meet monks and speak with spirits. Be sure to play up to the end of the game: its ending is satisfying and isn’t too hard to believe.

The game graphics is great. It’s very bright and clean and all the objects are quite recognizable. But don’t think that the gameplay is easy: some tasks are rather challenging. As for the music and sound effects they are a bit disappointing. At the beginning the music is good and pleasant but then it becomes annoying and monotonous and starts to irritate you.

The length of the game is good. The mini-games are not obligatory so if you don’t know how to solve one or another mini-game or just don’t want to play it, you may skip it. Some hidden object scenes involve “parts and pieces” where you should gather some parts or pieces of a necessary object together. At times it’s more interesting than just seek for objects in piles of stuff.
