Best Facebook games spy their users

According to journalists'researching of Wall Street Journal, the most popular applications on Facebook including Zynga's games, send personal information about their users to different advertising firms and analytical centers. Moreover, some applications, for example, Farmville, sends the information about users' friends as well.

Surely, if you were not aware of this fact, you'd better take off your rose-colored spectacles... But official Facebook's policy suggests otherwise.

The defenders of the so-called "information exchange" assure us that they send "only" user's identification number and not his name. But there is no need to make a mystery of the fact that this very identification number lets easily reveal not only the user's name but such personal information as age, address, telephone number. But if personal web page is locked with some extra personal settings, it will be impossible to reveal any personal information.

To be able to imagine the scope of the problem, just let us tell you that the most popular application on Facebook, Farmville, has 59,4 million players but the whole number of users of the most popular applications is more than 286 million

The official Facebook's representative hurried to notify that the company was carefully learning the facts and had already begun to close dangerous applications. Will they close Farmville? Hardly ever. In fact Zynga, the developer of the most popular games, has recently made a five-year contract with Facebook. So, we hardly believe that punitive actions against this company will be very severe.
