The developers from Playcademy , who made Runefall, have brought some new and totally innovative elements in the game. It’s always a challenge to create something unique so they did a great job with this free game to download.

So you go to the kingdom of Silverdale to look for the hidden magical runes and other elements. Somehow they could bring back happiness to the people’s lives after the ages of war. The storyline is not very exciting and doesn’t seem to be original, but at least it’s developed very well. Characters are written and voiced just great. There’s just one thing that can get you bored with the game – a lot of text to read.

Another advantage of this game is a combination of different genres. Yes, this is a pure match-3 adventure, but you can easily recognize some elements of a strategy, puzzle and building game. Everytime you complete a level you receive upgrades, useful tools to construct new villages and unlock the power-ups. Other great innovations are the Inventory and the Movable-Board. They add some challenges to the gameplay and make it less repetitive.

Runefall is a really impressive, addicting and innovative free match-3 download game. It doesn’t matter if you are a fan of the genre or not, it won’t hurt if you give it a try.
