THE INSTITUTE - A BECKY BROGAN ADVENTURE REVIEW BY DOUBLEGAMES

The Institute - A Becky Brogan Adventure by Mumbo Jumbo is a new hidden object game that dwells upon a female teen detective. Honestly, our hidden object list is bubbling with this sort of titles. It seems even the developers themselves knew this flaw making this game fairly short on story. .. Read more

The game focuses on the story very little: you deal only with the intro in the very beginning of The Institute - A Becky Brogan Adventure. The cutscenes are not so numerous: just a few remarks describing hidden object scenes or some puzzles. Well, this game would be interesting for newcomers to the genre or children because the artwork is nothing to write home about, and the main heroin Becky looks too cartoonish compared to the scenes. The tutorials are extremely obsessive and takes care of you as if you have never played a game or used a mouse before.

Graphically, The Institute - A Becky Brogan Adventure is not bad at all but due to the very small objects search tasks illustrations looks too vague. The game also has a strange obsession with such wild animal as bear. So, each scene has a hidden bear that you can find for extra hints. Why bear at all? According to the game, there is no logical answer. Trite plot, unimaginative gameplay, ordinary graphics are the main complaints with this new point-and-click issue.

Poor we! Why should we waste our time playing such lame titles? The developers should release this sort of games with a note “Very bad” or “It is not worth playing”. At least we will respect their honesty to the players.
