According to the game’s screenshots, Atlantis: Mysteries of Ancient Inventors looked like a good straight hidden object game with lots of scenes to explore. But unfortunately our hopes were all in vain. Our first complain is about the plot which has been done and over done many times. There you can expect just the usual story devices and no spins on the gameplay. Hidden object puzzles are all clear requiring no special skills to find this or that item from the regular shop-list. Moreover, there are plenty of scenes where you have no need to look at this list of hidden items because it is so evident what to click on.

Graphically, Atlantis: Mysteries of Ancient Inventors are standard and extremely typical for this sort of hidden object adventures. Its hand drawn and cartoon style illustrations are not bad and sometimes even wonderful. But the music background loops every three seconds what make you almost crazy. Thankfully, we are all able to turn this annoying sound off. Probably it will be appreciated by new comers to hidden object genre and experienced players that need some cure for insomnia. It would be fine to play when you have something about twenty minutes to kill and do not want to get engrossed with a more challenging game. But on the other hand, when you have some spare minutes to kill, you will prefer to play something more light-minded but it will not be Atlantis: Mysteries of Ancient Inventors for sure.
