Echoes of the Past: The Revenge of the Witch Collector's Edition

Though this new Hidden Object title doesn’t offer much twists to the genre, or even the plot, it does present it in a very clean and well done manner. Firstly, Echoes of the Past: The Revenge of the Witch is remarkable for its crisp and detailed without blurriness graphics. The wonderfully drawn backgrounds have a nice air of magic and mystery about them, and fans of spooky environments will enjoy getting lost within it and facing the troubles that randomly pop up. Secondly, the hidden object scenes that require you to put items back where they belong are a nice spin on the usual gameplay, and the puzzles and items are all make sense there. Thirdly, there is a good voice over in the game to make the story more enjoyable.

What it isn’t, sadly, is particularly the challenge portion Echoes of the Past: The Revenge of the Witch. Although the game features three levels of difficulty: Regular, Advanced, and Expert, none of them differs much. It’s the sort of game where you can relax for a while, as the puzzles are all clear and everything you need to follow in-game’s crystal instructions. Surely, diehard fans of the hidden object puzzle titles might find this one a bit too plain, but if you want is something well made, packed with beautiful graphics, and full of breezy scenes, you should check this out. Moreover, this fast moving plot with a few little twists can keep you on your toes.

Echoes of the Past: The Revenge of the Witch is, by and large, a very good game that, apart from some shortcomings, is easy to get into and play. If you are looking for an epic Hidden Object adventure, this one will fail. But if you want just to have fun, you’ve chosen a right premise. Good luck!
