Forgotten Books: The Enchanted Crown

We gotta admit, this is not the most unique game but yet the storyline has its own charm. The game starts with the book that one of your librarian friends shows you. You turn the pages and then something goes wrong – first off all seems like the book has no end and then one of the heroes begs for help. With a blink of an eye you end up in the book yourself and this is when the most interesting part begins. You’ve got a lot of tasks to do like stop the dark madman, prevent the death of the king of Torelion and find the Enchanted Crown. Yes, there’s definitely nothing new and original, but anyway the game turned out to be more entertaining as we expected it to be.

Gameplay is smooth, simple and not very challenging, though it’s more difficult that all the previous installments from ERS-Games. The only creative thing in this game is the puzzles, some of them are truly outstanding. They from from simple to more difficult, plus some of them give you Casual or Hard mode to pick from. Hidden object scenes are also very different and come in various formats. It took us solid 4 fours to finish this journey on pc and the bonus chapter lasted for almost and hour and we think this is decent length.

Visual production of The Enchanted Crown is almost perfect. Developers finally tried to integrate som 3D elements and were very successful in that! Characters animations look magnificent and just amazing. Many locations and scenes are pleasant to the eyes, detailed and colorful, but some are kinda dull. For this type of game it’s fine. Music effects and the melodies are very nice, and voiceovers fit the characters in the best way.
