Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga Collector's Edition

The genre of the game is adventure, it is more interactive then other games from ERS Game Studios. Although the developers of the game usually specialize on hidden object games, here they probably decided to step away from traditional pattern, so, there is no hidden object tasks, this fact can disappoint HO fans. But disappointment will not last long, because it is a great game, which will keep you memorized for whole time. However, during the game you will have to find items for your inventory, some of you will use immediately, some of them you will need to carry for a while.

As for the game-play,  it is not a long game, it took me two hours to finish all five chapters. The game has lots of locations to explore. As a help there is a map, but unfortunately, the map does not allow you to jump from one location to another, so, if you missed something you have to go back and forth, which is not really convenient. There are plenty of puzzles in the game, but most of them pretty easy, even if you play on the expert mode.

The music in Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga does not really suits the Gothic theme, but at least it doesn’t get on your nerves in contrast to other games of this genre. Background sounds, such as screams or wind storm sounds, are spooky and perfectly complete the atmosphere of horror. Moreover, ERS Game Studios used real actors for voice-overs, which also add to the eerie atmosphere and you do not have to read all the time. The developers did a great job in creating one of the creepiest games. A couple of times you can even jump on your seat with a startle.

Graphics are very clear and beautifully done, animation is great, everything is performed with detailed environment, which is perfectly suited the story.  The opening screen animations are wonderful, further graphic is outstanding.

The fun factor in Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga is excellent, I really enjoyed it.
