If you have never deal with the original story and now you have decided to fill in the blanks in your education by playing this game, we are going to disappoint your. Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles bears only the slightest resemblance to the outstanding story in its title. In fact, they have nothing in common beyond a title, just a few main characters, a dog and a very sinister man. The developers swept out the original storyline replaced this by a weird tale of the Devil. So, you will play an absolute new game.

Hidden object searches are quite common and not extremely difficult, and there are a great number of puzzles to solve, some still old, some fresh and most easy enough to finish with a minimum of force. The usual skip button is available there but we believe that this option will be not very popular with the players as all puzzles are quiet tolerable. Honestly, the gameplay is able to enjoy you with its new twists and good challenge portion. However, there a lot of interesting but old and overused puzzles which can look there too cheap.

The artwork is awesome and the music is very appropriate for game atmosphere. If you remember the original story is full of boring dialogues but the developers managed to replace them by snappy ones. They do not break Conan Doyle’s style, on the contrary, they make the play more vivid. The design is beyond any praise as it is really gorgeous, with deep, vivid colors. Thanks to high quality of production values, the game promises to be very popular.
