Interstellar Rift

Interstellar Rift is an open-world space sim developed by Split Polygon and published by Iceberg Interactive. This game relies heavily on the outer space exploration and construction of your ship. Though building ships is nothing new in the genre, this game features in-depth interior design. You build it from scratch intending to operate it from a first-person perspective afterward. If you don't want to waste time on spaceship building, you can check out ready-made ships via Steam Workshop as well as submitting your own there. The game is more suitable to play in a multi-crew format where each player is responsible for a certain objective. It's possible to pilot the ship solo, but be ready to run from one point to another a lot. You can also qualify as a captain and lead your crew into legendary battles or become a hired gun on someone else's ship. There are scripted missions where you need to ship cargo and fight the alien race known as Skrill. Apart from that, you can always delve into massive PvP battles with other players. Exploration of derelict ships and asteroid belts is a huge deal in Interstellar Rift. This way you can mine resources and collect rare materials to upgrade your weapon system or take part in a player-driven economy by trading and earning U-nits (in-game currency).
