LETTERS FROM NOWHERE 2 REVIEW BY DOUBLEGAMES

Following the principle “the game begins with its title”, we are sure that this new game, Letters from Nowhere 2, won’t surprise us with anything. Of course we have nothing against continuity of some game elements especially when it regards to sequels. But what we really criticize is a blatant identity of some installments. Creating the second chapter of Letters from Nowhere,  Awem Studio didn’t exert itself much. As a result, we are offered a hidden object experience so similar to the first title... Read more

The developer Awem Studio didn’t do any attempt to be original in game name, they just took the first title “Letters from Nowhere” and added number “2”. The worst thing is that most every point of old gameplay has been moved into new one, bringing with it the first game’s peeves. Like in the first installment, your main task is to explore lots of hidden object scenes and find all items on a shop-list. This common experience is spoiled by small hidden items which can be smaller than a crumb. By the end of several scenes, we had a headache from straining to see the very tiny objects.

Throwing the fat in the fire, there are no backgrounds to explore, as it’s simply you and static scenes, solving one hidden object puzzle after another until each ends and you go to the next to do the same things. Stunning artwork is the only one positive point about Letters from Nowhere 2. While the graphics do help to promote this title, the core gameplay is fairly tedious.

If you were keen on playing the first installment, and would like to enjoy unchanging up game’s system, or just interested in the outcome of this romantic story, try it. There are no more reasonable reasons to play it.
