It is rather an adventure game than a hidden object title, but the good production values and vivid locations make it fun to play, though it cannot delight us neither with its storyline nor gameplay. The puzzles and mini-games will be too familiar for die-hard fans of this genre. To our humble opinion, Mystic Gateways: The Celestial Quest is too generous to its players providing them with answers before they ask for them. No wonder, it starts to feel almost like the title is playing itself and gamer is just assisting it.

In fact, Mystic Gateways: The Celestial Quest can be easily completed without use of any hints, but because of tiny hidden objects some scenes require two or three tips. So, searching for items is a little annoying due to resized objects. But for good graphics, this game would be nothing to right home about. All in all, the artwork is fine, with lots of exciting locations to investigate making you visit such countries as Egypt and Brazil.

Honestly, there is nothing terrible or awful about this game, the only drawback is the ordinariness of this premise. Nothing exciting, nothing that makes players want to try this title. Moreover, its title gives the feeling of unfinished storyline that spoils the whole impression of the game.
