The first game in the Silent Nights games series was released in 2012 and was a great one, actually. But then everyone somehow lost their hope to see the sequel. Finally, more than two years later Dark Blue Games came up with the second installment and called it Children’s Orchestra. Unfortunately this free pc/mac hidden object game didn’t improve at all and didn’t turn to be anything special, unique or innovative. .. Read more

The plot is not original, in fact, it’s even boring and predictable. The children from the Deux family were kidnapped right in the middle of their concert. A mysterious man is responsible and now you as a family member have track him down, defeat and rescue the poor kids. Well, as you can see there’s nothing spectacular or nothing that we haven’t seen already before. Sadly, graphics are disappointing either. Locations look blurry, dull, the color tone is so simple and boring. Nothing pleases the eye. Since it’s a music themed game for computers, the soundtrack is quiet epic. Melodies create the feeling of suspense and excitement, the voiceovers are also fine and suitable.

Gameplay of Children’s Orchestra is just a disaster. Nothing about it is particular or engaging, though most of puzzles and mini-games are crafted very well. Hidden object scenes are interactive, clear, but items are not hard to find. Puzzles have some twists and many of them look original, but in general, they aren’t challenging at all, not clever. The only thing the creators came up with in order to spice the gameplay up was the story files and the music sheet.

All in all Silent Nights: Children’s Orchestra is a tedious game that will bring you nothing but pure disappointment. Even the Collector’s Edition is far from being impressive. We don’t recommend to download this game.
