As for the second installment in the Special Enquiry Detail game series it offers us another chance to test our observational or deductive reasoning skills, put us into the shoes of two shrewd detectives. You are assigned to get on the trail of a serial killer, who has already killed several young women.

In Special Enquiry Detail: Engaged to Kill, you will follow the classical hidden object gameplay. The story is presented as comic book scenes, separated by the sets of hidden object puzzles. While the overall gameplay seems rather intriguing, many of hidden object tasks repeat, and in case of dark background are practically impossible to complete. With odd sizes and colors, some items are incredibly difficult to find out. There are also a lot of mini-games; some are fairly basic, while others rack your brains. Fortunately, there is a wide variety of puzzle types, and they make the game much more interesting. If you still get stuck, there is a skip button and other clues that help you overcome all difficulties.

To our mind, the artwork of Special Enquiry Detail: Engaged to Kill isn’t as exceptionally crisp and photo-realistic as in the first title, but still rather good. But for the pain music background, the production values of this game might be called as one of the best one out there.

All in all,  Special Enquiry Detail: Engaged to Kill can satisfy both fans and newbies. The veterans of Hidden Object genre will appreciate its intriguing storyline and challenging gameplay, while newcomers will try a good game. Enjoy!
