Just as in other Hidden Object game in the Spirits of Mystery series, you will be the princess, in whose little hands the whole fate of our fragile world holds. Your task is to save the royal menagerie of pets at any cost. It’s all a wicked witch who is responsible! She stole them in order to awake the mythical beast Minotaur. It is very important to save these little animals, because they are not just your friends, they have magic powers that will be applied to their owner. Probably, you already think why such a lovely creature, like a princess, should do such a dangerous thing, and not the royal warriors? Well ... Maybe she is too capricious to stay at home and cross stitch? Indeed that’s not the actual reason, but who knows? You immediately immerse yourself into this case and soon discover that someone has helped the witch. Her accomplice is a royal hunter. And for some reason, he also has a magical power. I bet I’ve seen somewhere that guy with the companion-panther. Well, these are references to other games from ERS Game Studios.
But you, unfortunately, don’t have any assistants as you start your journey to a menagerie. Despite the fact that the story is not particularly new, search for the animals creates a very interesting gameplay. For example, as soon as you save one of the magical animals, their image appears in your arsenal. It blinks when the animal is ready to come to your aid. However, there’s always free cheese in a mousetrap. Hungry animals won’t help anyone, so first you have to get the grain, milk and crunchy bamboo.
Aside from these tasks you have to use the magic mirror, and then you will see the monsters hiding in the scenes of Hidden objects games. The locations can be replaced with Match-3 games, that in some way dilutes the gameplay. In these locations you need to find the items by the silhouettes, and then figure out how you can use them in the future.
The game can be much profit. Spirits of Mystery: The Dark Minotaur has good graphics and a decent soundtrack. And yet, the game is not flawless. Perhaps, we should blame the creators and their rush. A couple of times I flew out of the game, or the screen became black (to return everything on its place I had to increase the size of the screen), sometimes I had to face some troubles with the hint system.
Spirits of Mystery: The Dark Minotaur still remains a mystery to me. You fight evil, which can the whole world, but in fact very little in the game happens. And the main character Minotaur generally takes a back seat and it seems like some vague recollection. I will not say much, so as not to spoil your fun, but I was slightly disappointed with the game ending.
Collector’s Edition will offer you pictures, wallpaper, screen savers and videos from the game and music tracks. In an attempt to expand the content here is added pictures of users or, more simply, the avatars.
And yet, I can say that Spirits of Mystery: The Dark Minotaur is a good game with its fantastic graphics, good music and an intriguing plot. If you don’t ask for much, there’s a chance you’ll like this game.
