Zuzu & Pirates

Playing as a bee get ready to do some bee labors, like build up your own hive and find your stolen honey. Surely, there are wicked insects who would like to taste your sweet product. Oh, by the way, did we mentioned that you are not a usual bee who lives in a usual hive? You are a cool bee who lives in a hive full of antique furniture. In fact your bee’s house will be the “working” area of the hidden object scenes during all the whole the Zuzu & Pirates’ gameplay. Graphically, these backgrounds are bright and colorful but the scenes are extremely reduced by the items list, which   is too short there. To our mind, for these sort of scenes the shop list should be longer and more varied.   

This time the developers decide to surprise us by pitching bee to the cursor. The little cute bee following your cursor here and there is nice for about two minutes and then it got annoying. Unfortunately, the developers made no provision for this case. So, there is no chance to turn off this so-called “twist” and you have to “enjoy” it all the time. The music also starts out well first, but when it come to locations, it and the sound effects are very obvious and jarring. As for the mini-game of shooting the bees is really irritating because of the too sensitive cursor that is always let you down while you are playing.

All in all, Zuzu & Pirates would be probably appreciated by the young players. Maybe they even would like that freaky cursor in the shape of bee but the graphics and tasks are too ordinary. Moreover, some defects in gameplay cannot be praised by anyone.
