Eden Star

Flix Interactive released their sci-fi survival shooter named Eden Star back in 2015. At the time, this game looked promising. Among others, it blends first-person shooter, action, and strategy making this title desirable for both casual gamers and sandbox enthusiasts. You're offered to take on a mission to colonize distant planet Pharus 7 fighting off alien attacks and building a base around advantageous spots on the map. Speaking of the map, it's not an open-world environment. The base-building mechanics is similar to ARK and Rust that can be easily grasped. As for self-defense means, your base can be secured by solid walls and a ceiling if you gathered the right materials for it. By default, your character is equipped with a pistol and multi-tasked power glove (the so-called MATA-Tool). Your primary concern is to construct and defend the Eden-kit that is in charge of your respawns and storage space for any other valuable items. Despite the silver lining, the real problem is that there haven't been any updates since January 2020. They say, developers keep working on it and prepare one huge update but there is no real indication for that to be true. Thinks twice and buy Eden Star only if you're willing to support the game that has every chance to be unlisted from the Steam Store shortly.
