You take the role of the young magician, whom the new Pharaoh of Egypt invites to investigate a chain of weird accidents. They have taken place on a construction site during the building the Great Obelisk in honor of the god Amon-Ra. Thus, the storyline can be described as quite unhackneyed. Actually, Egypt Series The Prophecy: Part 1 is a simple point-and-click Hidden Object game with no diversity of the gameplay elements and mini-games. So the gameplay is really capable of improvement. Maya has got some magical aptitudes, which are represented in the player’s inventory through various symbols. Far and by, the gameplay boils down to the relaxed moving the mouse and clicking on the items. They help you further as the story progresses. It should be noted that there are lots of hidden objects which are of no game value. They just make you waste your playing time. Therefore the gamers will hardly be satisfied with the gameplay quality.

Well, the graphics at least don’t need to be criticized. The artwork of Egypt Series The Prophecy: Part 1 gives you a feeling that you’re in ancient Egypt because of its gorgeous backgrounds and locations. Perhaps, the game is worth downloading due to them only. The characters’ speech is dubbed in the written dialogues which are designed very well, too. But as for sounding itself, it leaves much to be desired. The point is that the voice-acting does not correspond with the lip sync. It jumps to the eyes and creates an unintentional comic effect.

First and last, Egypt Series The Prophecy: Part 1 can interest the point-and-click fans mainly. But even the genre veterans can be intrigued by the story and will get excited by curiosity and impatience to start the next part of the series.
