Fantastic Creations: House of Brass

Fantastic Creations: House of Brass starts vigorously, with a nice story of a strange house packed with incredible creations and an intriguing tale of everlasting life. At first sight the game looks like a pure hidden object title but later you understand that puzzles and mini-games still prevail. This fact wasn’t so disappointed if these puzzles wouldn’t be terribly average. Fortunately, the hidden object scenes are a bit different. Rather than finding an ordinary list of items you should find, for instance, 12 spherical items or 12 objects made from wood, etc. It is surely a nice relief from the regular cluttered hidden object scenes used in most sibling installments.

The game has a lot of stunning visuals, which are very good though, they aren’t the best out there. The house itself is a wonderful and beautiful place, especially for players who are keen on steampunk style, moreover it has some aesthetic features. The voice-overs aren’t the strongest point of the Fantastic Creations: House of Brass but it’s fine enough to make the game more vivid. While the music background is rather charming it feels disjointed from what we see on the screen. It is nice to listen to but apart from the game.

On top of that, you are to make a lot of going back and forth work in this title, but it’s logical. If the were a solid map, we wouldn’t even mind these backtracks. Unfortunately, you are doomed wander around one and the same scenes because you simple forget where you’ve been before.

Finally, we have to admit that “not all that glitters is gold”. In case with Fantastic Creations: House of Brass, we’ve trusted its charming graphics, hoping it will be also challenging. Anyway, this is not a bad game but we would like to see and play something more. Very very pity!
