Mystery Agency: Visions of Time

Firstly, Mystery Agency: Visions of Time is for those who are keen on heavy hidden object scenes with about 20 items to find in each scene, often scrolling to the right and left to see where the rest of the list is. The game has adventure aspects in the fact that you can select a variety of actions or places to visit, you collect inventory, and there is a story. The story will not hit you in the face in the first 5 minutes, but unwinds rather softly.

Unlike most classical hidden object titles, Mystery Agency: Visions of Time has no journal but provides you with a map that you can use to see areas that have something to do or jump to that location immediately. The navigation system is a little bit odd though, you will get used to it after a while. The puzzles and mini-games can be rated from easy to extremely challenging. Anyway, the hint button takes about a minute to refill, so you won’t be stuck with any scene or puzzle.

Graphically, Mystery Agency: Visions of Time is sharp, not too dark so far, without any vampires, ghosts or zombies. Because of a clean artwork the items are always clear and visible but still clever hidden.

Overall, this installment is a nice effort and a big improvement over the first two games, and the story is far more interesting than the first two. Obviously, this game deserves your free time.
