As it turns out, dark graphics, decent background music and eerie storyline are not enough to create a quality Hidden Object game with an ominous atmosphere. Despite the rather intriguing complication of the plot, we were completely disappointed with the latest Urse Games creation... Read more

To start with, the events of the game occur mostly at night, in dark cemeteries, abandoned gardens and old mansions covered with cobwebs, rust and coal dust. Despite the sinister surroundings, Mystery Heritage: Sign of the Spirit is completely devoid of the gloomy atmosphere to which we are accustomed. Even the scary cut scenes with a ghost, transforming into a monster with a huge fanged mouth right before our eyes, do not make the proper impression.

So, what’s wrong with this game, you ask? First, the plot develops too slowly, which does not allow the player to identify with the main character. Second, we do not really like the graphics of Mystery Heritage: Sign of the Spirit. Most backgrounds are blurry and low detailed. As a result, the graphics looks a bit outdated, recalling an old comic book.

As for the gameplay, Mystery Heritage: Sign of the Spirit has pleasantly surprised us with its unusual puzzles and mini-games, three levels of difficulty and clear hidden object scenes. In each location there are several beautifully animated elements, though there’s almost no interaction with the game’s world. In addition, there is a bit too much of back and forth, which quickly becomes annoying and starts to irritate after a while.

In general, there’s nothing remarkable about Mystery Heritage: Sign of the Spirit. It’s not the worst game we’ve seen this summer, and not the best so far. If you have nothing else to play, and do not mind the awfully repetitive gameplay, welcome to Mystery Heritage: Sign of the Spirit!
