Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum

So, if the idea of another spooky mental hospital is appealing to you, welcome to Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum. Although most of this sort of games in this world is just copied and adjusted a little to make it look different, this starts out with a well-done entry that draws you in a personal nightmare of being chased through a run-down building that ends with falling into an elevator pit. Not a bad beginning for yet another Hidden Object puzzle game.

The core game challenge is focused on the hidden object scenes there are extremely numerous here. If you are not keen on junkpile style scenes, you may find them too frustrating at times. Nevertheless, the objects are of good size with none being overly small. There are morphing objects that are perfectly done technically and they are nice to look at. Be ready to visit lots of scenes and keep a lot of running around but it is not a complaining at all as this game involves many twists. 

Since you are dealing with the creepy abandoned asylum, do not wait for the shining sun or twittered sparrows. Graphically, Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum is presented in a very gloomy fashion with a very good storyline that grabs you immediately. The colors are muted in this title though, they are not too dark or to be a stain on the eyes. All these dreary colors are not only clear and crisp but suit this creepy environment. The music is fine, in some scenes is still repetitive. There voice-overs are excellent, unfortunately they are not numerous.

All in all, Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum is surely a game of high quality where you can get a good dose of tension and horror.
