Avorion

The name of the game Avorion derives from the unknown in-game metal alloy brought to our galaxy by Xsotan alien race. Aliens didn't come by themselves they rather used the rifts in hyperspace to transport their fleet, technology, and malicious intentions. At least, the game plot told so. One way or another, it's up to the player to find out what happened to the hyperspace fabric and learn alien tricks of using it to his or her advantage. But first, it is recommended to build your own spaceship out of the scalable blocks and equip it with basic weaponry. It is a good idea to look for the resources before assembling the ship. Weapons will be helpful in a situation when you got into a stone shower or stumble across an enemy ship. As you will see, not every space station is friendly and open for trading. Speaking of trading, each part of the ship can be upgraded in turn for the booty that you're able to loot regularly. Keeping in mind the main mission of saving the universe, nothing prevents you from raiding outposts and sole spaceships playing the role of a space pirate as a side quest. If you're more into uneventfulness, you can spend time building space bases and settlements, and associate it with your ever-growing space fleet. The possibilities in Avorion are almost limitless as the randomly generated area of its sandbox feature.
