Insurgency: Sandstorm

New World Interactive was filled with enthusiasm after their original indie tactical shooter named Insurgency became incredibly famous among FPS fans. For their sophomore effort Insurgency: Sandstorm they decided to use innovative technologies and evolve the realistic feature of a presence on a battlefield. The following aspects were introduced: driving a vehicle equipped with a deadly weapon, full character customization including outfits and firearms, and replay feature. Spacious detailed maps were designed to suit the fictional Middle Eastern conflict. The sequel is built on Unreal Engine 4 which boosts the graphics and physics. Audio effects and ambient sounds were also improved bringing in a high dynamic range. The core gameplay became more intense when it comes to close-quarters combat. Ammunition must be preserved and enemies may lurk around every corner or shady aisle. In such situations, tactics, skills, and strategies must be applied to win. If something goes wrong and you feel trapped you can call for air support. Speaking of skills, the improved ranking system in multiplayer shows up in a matchmaking feature where you're set against equal competitors. Teamwork is the key and the best way to coordinate the team is presented in the form of a positional voice-chat. Multiplayer in Insurgency: Sandstorm also features a 16-vs-16 game mode and an 8-player co-op mode where you and your friends compete with artificial intelligence.
