The Forest

The Forest is the most well-thought and detailed first-person survival horror game. Starting as a survivor of a deadly air disaster, you find yourself in a midst of trees with a feeling of being observed by someone or somewhat. To make things worse it seems like your character's child is also nowhere to be found. After logging some trees to build a shelter you are all set to find your missing son. While doing it you must be sure to keep feeding yourself and looking for water. There are caverns to be explored and a lot of mysteries to be unveiled. As the game progresses, it becomes clear that you are not alone on this island. There is some sort of cult consisting of slaughterous cannibals and freaks of nature who go in for the kill at night. You will have to path your way through the horde of enemies and defend your new home crafting self-defense means out of wood and stone. All kinds of traps and handmade explosives will help you to survive the ways of cannibals in The Forest. It is possible to invite up to 3 additional players, so you can build a massive hideout and gather resources collectively.
