Metal Gear Survive
Metal Gear Survive is a spin-off of a famous MGS5. This game greatly differs from the original game series. The reason for that might involve the sudden departure of MGS's spiritual originator Hideo Kojima. Anyhow, Konami decided to release a co-op survival crafting game set in the well-known universe. The result is questionable. The game mechanics seem to involve a lot of grinds as you need meticulously collect a lot of materials and craft various traps, weapons, and fortifications. The learning curve is steep and lacks explanations in some life-or-death situations. You're able to customize your playable character any way you want and embark on one of the following game modes: Exploration, Base Management, Defense Missions, and Combat. Each title is self-explanatory and each of them leans toward a tower-defense game type more than on anything else. The Combat expects you to show off melee skills and each weapon has its own move sets for you to learn. The biggest disadvantage is that Metal Gear Survive requires a continued Internet connection. If you're offline there is no way you can play this game alone or in a co-op with friends.
