Alien Arena: Warriors Of Mars

With their Alien Arena effort, COR Entertainment caters to every old-school sci-fi FPS devotee. The game is inspired by such well-known shooters as Quake and Unreal Tournament. For instance, it uses the term 'frag' across the gameplay as an homage to the ID Software game series. Among other things, it incorporates a highly modified ID Tech 2 game engine with high-resolution textures and improved 3D models. As for the gameplay, it's a straightforward first-person shooter where you're assuming the role of one of 10 characters with an extensive arsenal consisted of 10 various weapons. Each weapon has an alternative firing mode. There are four game modes: Deathmatch (timeless classics!), Duel (PvP where the last man standing is a winner), Capture The Flag, and Tactical Bloodbath. Alien Arena includes 23 stock maps but also offers maps made by modders. The modding community is welcomed and encouraged to upload its creations to expand the game experience.
