Memories of Mars was developed by Limbic Entertainment and published by the well-known 505 Games. There are few Mars-themed survival crafting games out there and this one emphasizes heavily on a first-person perspective. You're awakened at an abandoned lab and have to figure out what happened to colonists. In the process, you must pay attention to basic human needs such as hunger and thirst as well as oxygen demand which is only logical for one wandering around on an alien planet. Fortunately, these 'chores' won't distract you from the gameplay. You must set a base and build a cloning pod inside to being able to respawn in case of a fatality. There is a possibility to raid other bases blasting through their walls and looting for everything you'll find there. The PvE mode includes clashes with fried sentinel robots that were left behind by the previous party of colonists. The PvP mode takes place in special areas and is recommended for more seasoned gamers. Memories of Mars suits best for those who like the grinding nature of survival games and have a soft spot for science fiction and Mars especially.
