Playerunknown's Battlegrounds
PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds revolutionalized the Battle Royale genre and promoted it among a wide range of gamers. Originally developed by South Korean studio Bluehole with a creative direction by Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene the game was released in 2017 and quickly acquired a cult following. This type of the last man standing deathmatch gives you an equal opportunity to equip yourself with gear, ammo, and weapon across a huge map where other players are doing the same thing. You can play solo or in a small group of up to 4 players. After logging in, you're able to customize the outfit and have a good time in a lobby trying out a firing range or free-roaming. After landing on an island, you have to find a weapon and earn an in-game currency by spotting and shooting anyone. You can buy loot crates using this money and get yourself cosmetics and/or new firearms. With up to 100 players clashes are stimulated by a restrained battleground area that shrinks every few minutes. Those who don't make it will find themselves imminently dead on the other side of the area. While being an essential shooter where you can switch between the first-person and the third-person points of view, the game encourages players to find creative ways to stay alive. You can use explosives, obtain vehicles, and apply non-standard self-defense means such as by now canonical frying pan. Recently, PUBG got a backlash for certain decisions made by its developing team. Nevertheless, servers are still packed with likely-minded gun enthusiasts, and with an addition of bots, it's unlikely you'll be left alone in the field.
